Gravity Fail Safe: protection even in the event of a power failure
A fire protection system must be designed to operate reliably even under emergency conditions. For this reason, PRATIKA is equipped with the Gravity Fail Safe system.
When an alarm signal is received, the brake is released and the curtain descends by gravity at a controlled and constant speed throughout its travel until it reaches the safety position.
The Gravity Fail Safe principle allows the curtain to descend even in the event of a power failure, contributing to the reliability of the system when protection is needed.
CE marking and compliance with European standards
When selecting a fire curtain, certifications and declared performance are essential considerations for designers, engineers and fire safety professionals.
PRATIKA is CE marked in accordance with: EN 16034:2014 – EN 13241:2016
The system also complies with the requirements of EN 12604 relating to safety during unsupervised gravity-powered movement.
